Chief Financial Officer

Markus is a Global Executive with over 25 years of international experience. He received his MBA Finance from the University of San Francisco and BA in Business Administration from the University of Bochum, Germany. His main professional experience is in the technology industry, having worked as an executive for global companies such as HP and Siemens on 3 continents.

As member of senior & executive management teams, he had responsibilities for complete Business Unit P&L, Regional Leadership, as well as Finance, Sales, Alliance Management, Marketing, Strategic Planning, IT and Procurement. Markus negotiated and closed deals with annual volumes exceeding US$250 million.

During his time at Siemens, he became the largest non-OEM distributor of AMD chips, with the largest deal exceeding US$ 100 million. He served as CFO for Siemens PLS, VP of Finance, and later General Manager for the Distribution Business Unit. He worked for the Chief Sales Officer of Hewlett Packard (HP) where Markus was co-responsible for US$4 billion in internal software spend, Chief Of Staff, Global Scorecards and the organization of the World Economic Forum in Davos.

Markus is also an avid sailor and can be found sailing out of San Francisco almost every other weekend. He is a Board Member of Shark Stewards, a global non-profit for marine conservancy and Scuba Divemaster
